Tristan Gutbezahl

Tristan Gutbezahl is an incoming second-year student at the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS). He is concentrating in Security, Strategy and Statecraft and the Middle East, with a particular focus on Iranian foreign policy and counterproliferation.
Tristan has long been fascinated by Iranian history, culture, and politics and is extremely excited to be working on Iranian issues in a professional setting for the first time. He is currently learning Persian and hopes to travel to Tajikistan in the near future to hone his language skills.
